We’re up and running!
We are extremely pleased that after more than a year of disruption we commenced 2021/22 on 2nd September without any restrictions being imposed. As the Covid restrictions eased we were only able to hold occasional meetings but now we hope to be on schedule to meet on a regular basis throughout 2021/22 (see our programme)
Despite not meeting for most of 2020 the members remained very optimistic and kept busy with their various crafts. There were numerous entries in “2020 summer challenge”, “Christmas ornament challenge” and the additional “2021 Easter Egg challenge” which spurred everyone on and maintained the group interest in being part of the Guild. Also the “2021 summer challenge” was well supported – photos of all these can be seen in the following gallery. Truthfully, these are only a small exhibition of what individuals have actually produced.
Unfortunately due to all the Covid restrictions we were unable to attend various events or hold our own Four Corners day where we get to meet other interested crafters. We hope that you will be inspired by what you see and perhaps you will be encouraged to come and join us. We are a very small, friendly group with lots of skills which we are always pleased to pass on no matter how little or how much you already know about spinning, weaving, dyeing or felting.
