Psst.. did you know?
That we have a strong (and talented!) felting contingent in the guild.
Our final meeting before the summer holidays was last Thursday and at least four of the guild were busily felting wonderful creations whilst the rest of us were mainly spinning.
This magnificent framed seascape is by Esme. She used wet felting to start and then dry felting to add detail, along with some beading too. The sky is wet felted and the foreground needle felted.
Whilst we were crafting together she was working on her next masterpiece, which she was reluctant to show as its ‘only’ in progress:
Can’t wait to see the finished bunny!
Michelle also had a lovely seascape to show off, again she’s used wet felting, and then added dry felting along with beading and embroidery:
Our next guild event is a trip over to Bedfordshire for Fibre East 2016 on 30th and 31st July.
We’re very excited to be there, we have our shopping lists at the ready and we’ll be thrilled to demo spinning, weaving and felting for you – and let you have a go! See you there! (15 days and counting…)
