Four Corners / Have a go day – Feb 2015

We had an enjoyable day of crafting on Sat 21 February. We had several areas with textile crafts on the go – spinning, weaving and felting. We welcomed two new people to our group, and more experienced people also enjoyed learning new things.

Thanks to everyone who came along and shared their skills.

Bev and Jan helped our felters to make both flat felt pieces, and 3D bowls and bags.

 

Elizabeth showed people how to use the rigid heddle loom with two heddles, which can give a variety of different patterns.

 

Amy threaded up one of the guild’s four shaft table looms with a beautiful combination of colours, and showed people how to weave on this.
