Peg loom weaving workshop

A fun and woolly time was had by all at the guild’s peg loom weaving workshop.

Fabulous fibres to inspire us, including some fabulous plant dyed Teeswater curls.

Measuring the warps – using a peg loom fashioned from a door jamb and branches.

Threading the looms, involving the time honoured tradition of wearing the warp round your neck.

Happy weavers

The process: Twist the fleece to strengthen it, wind it round the pegs, fill up the loom and then slide the pegs out of the weft and replace them. Add stripes at whim or by design.
